Direction to Gerald's Gift Guest House

 

We are situated on the R336 to Kirkwood 6 kms from the little town of Addo.

Directions from Port Elizabeth:

 

  • On leaving PE take the N2 towards Grahamstown
  • Turn left onto the N10 towards Paterson
  • At Paterson turn left onto the R342
  • Pass the entrance to the Addo Park and continue along this road (+- 10 kms) until you reach the R336 to Kirkwood.
  • Turn right and Gerald's Gift is 5kms along this road on the right-hand side and is clearly marked.

Note:

Google will direct you off the N2 at Motherwell onto the R335 to Addo. However, we strongly advise AGAINST you taking this route for a number of reasons

  1. The road surface has deteriorated significantly due to over-use by large commercial vehicles
  2. The traffic in Motherwell is heavy and poorly controlled. The road then becomes remote and visibility is poor.
  3. Rural roads in some parts of South Africa are poorly monitored and therefore less safe to travel on, particularly at night.

    4. We THEREFORE RECCOMMEND that you travel to Gerald's Gift from Port Elizabeth via the N2 and N10. This route is slightly longer and mostly in excellent condition. This is a major route, well monitored and much more secure. And as bonus, game is often sighted along the way.

     

     

    Directions from Cradock

     

    • Follow the N2 to Paterson over the Olifantskop Pass.
    • At Paterson take the R342 to Addo.
    • Pass the entrance to the Addo Park and continue along this road (+- 10 kms) until you reach the R336 to Kirkwood.
    • Turn right and Gerald's Gift is 5kms along this road on the right hand side and is clearly marked.

     

     

Terms & Conditions

Cancellation Policy:

If cancelled up to 28 days before date of arrival, 10% of the total price of the reservation will be charged.

If cancelled up to 22 days before date of arrival, 25% of the total price of the reservation will be charged.

If cancelled up to 15 days before date of arrival, 50% of the total price of the reservation will be charged.

If cancelled up to 8 days before date of arrival, 75% of the reservation will be charged.

If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Deposit Policy:

30% of the total amount may be charged anytime after booking.

 

Internet:

WiFi is available in all areas and is free of charge.

 

Children & Extra Bed Policy:

All children are welcome.

All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing beds.

There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.

The maximum number of children's cots/cribs in a room is 1.

 

Parking:

Free private parking is possible on site (reservation is not needed).

 

Pets:

Pets are not allowed.

 

Meal Options:

Breakfast is included in the room rate. Lunch and Dinner available at our in-house Restaurant, The Eatery.
